Hub School Program
The new Beaumaris Hub School Project in conjunction with regional WA schools, is another example of how the school collaborates to share information and maximise 21st century learning outcomes for both staff and students.
The next Beaumaris strategic planning phase aims to transform 20th Century classroom practices to more appropriate 21st century teaching-learning relationships that better engage students in a culture of exponential technological growth.
The more we shift and engage the school community, the more chance we have of promoting improved outcomes, not for students alone, but for teachers as well, through renewed enthusiasm and commitment …'learning to change…changing to learn.'
At Beaumaris, we believe we have the foundations, expertise and professional drive to achieve this shift, not just as a local school community, but as a Hub School Project that can also assist other communities to make the same pedagogical shift.
We may do so through integration of: technology; professional networking; curricular and extra-curricular interchange; teacher - student - classroom collaboration and networking; community networking; and committed distributive leadership.
