Tony Misich OAM
Tony Misich has been in education for over 40 years with teaching and Principal appointments in numerous schools across Western Australia, including remote, rural and metropolitan communities.
His committed leadership and passion for education saw him elected as President of both the WA Primary Principals Association and the Australian Primary Principals Association. Tony's leadership has influenced education, organisations and leadership at local, national and international levels.
His leadership style is visionary, innovative, inclusive and entrepreneurial, continually seeking opportunities and partnerships that enhance the development of appropriate teaching - learning relationships, reflective of student needs in the 21st Century.
His personal commitment to lifelong learning brings currency to school improvement in terms of pedagogy, curriculum and technology. This is enhanced by his participation in many local, national and international education consortiums, review groups, steering committees and councils. He brings this wealth of experience to his school community, placing Beaumaris at the cutting edge of education, better engaging teachers and students in 21st Century Learning.
Mr Misich's influence and achievements in education have been acknowledged nationally when awarded the 'Order of Australia Medal' in 2009.
