About the P&C
The Beaumaris P&C has been a tremendous community support since the school was built in 1991. Conservatively it has provided over a million dollars of services and funds to our school. What we see today are the efforts and contributions of many generations of families and community members. This includes: the Green Room and Stage; grounds developments; Smart Technology; air cooling; extensive resources; building improvements and playground equipment. In addition the P&C also provides a range of community development and social programs to foster a sense of 'family' in the school. These include activities such as: Welcome Barbeque; Quiz Nights; Car Rallies; Picnics; social outings; coffee get togethers; busy bees; Parent Classroom Representatives; wine tasting; Student Discos; and much more. The happy and successful school culture has a lot to do with the high level of community interaction!
What does the P&C do?
The Beaumaris P&C Association is an active and vital partner to school support and development. The P&C is both a fund raising group as well as an informal forum in sharing parent views and school events. The Association is affiliated with the Western Australian Council of State School Associations (WACSSO) and as such is an incorporated body with official status and organisational structure. In addition, the P&C is also a friendly social gathering which has held many fun events in encouraging family get-togethers and simply 'getting to know each other' within the community.
P&C Building Fund
Many years ago the P&C set up a Building Fund with the Australian Taxation Office in order that cash donations (over $2.00) are claimable a TAX DEDUCTION. This Building fund is used to improve and build new school structures. Each year we ask families for a $60.00 donation. This is separate to School Fees. For more information regarding the Building Fund, you inquire at the School Office or come along to our next P&C Meeting.
